Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair is a one stop solution
for the handicraft designers and gift traders as the exhibition platform has
brought in attractive collectibles which will enhance the residential as well
as the commercial interiors, making the area more beautiful and colorful. The
Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), organized the Asia’s largest
fair Indian Handicrafts & Gifts fair, this biannual event featured 2400
exhibitors of home décor, textiles, home furnishings, eco-friendly gifts,
jewelry and fashion accessories.
Indian Handicrafts & Gifts Fair (IHGF), 2014, organized
by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), is beginning today at Greater
Noida. This year, the five-day event has attracted more than 2500 exhibitors, drawn
from various regions and states of India displaying a very wide variety of
handicrafts.
Natural fibres export took a stand at the Indian Handicrafts
and Gifts Fair (IHGF). Natural Fibres Export participating at this 5 days
(14oct - 18oct) fair and participating for the purpose of sell products to a
wider international audience, potentially leading to new export and business opportunities.
Natural fibres export provides uniqueness of the products which are hand
crafted and handmade where machines are used only for finishing purposes.
In this fair many of Indian manufacturers & exporters of
handcrafted products drawn from all parts of India exhibit their merchandise at
this show. In this mega event we were mainly focus on eco-friendly products
made out of different raw material base like wood, metal, cane and bamboo,
textiles made of natural fibers, wool, silk, jute, coir, stone, leather,
terracotta, lacquer and using vegetable dyes.

like Rugs, carpets, poufs, Cushion covers, pillow covers, footstools, bar
stools, Benches, Chairs, Ottomans, Kilim Rugs, Kilim Pillows, Upholstered
Furniture, storages, handmade handbags, Handicraft & Art Products and many
more home furnishing products. We were ready to please our customer with our
handmade and natural home furnishing products.
In this fair the buyers mainly from the traditional markets
of USA, Germany, France, UK, Switzerland, Italy and Japan have so far
registered and more buyers from the new and emerging markets such as the Latin
American region followed by CIS, Middle East and Central Asia are also expected
to make a mark. In the first day 14 oct of the fair; buyers are so interested
to our traditional kilim products like kilim rugs, kilim cushion covers, kilim
upholstered furniture, kilim poufs, kilim covered storages and many more….. Our
team showing and explaining our products very nice way, that’s why buyer keen
to buy our products.
In the second consecutive day at the Asia’s largest Indian
Handicraft and Gifts Fair (IHGF) and foreign and local buyers are enjoying it.
Different types of handmade products have attracted maximum foreign buyers at
the fair. The buyers are being attracted by the furniture of different metals
and different sizes. The foreigners are also inquiring about designer furniture
of different shapes, materials, upholstery. Highly portable and light weight,
are demanded buy the buyer. The antique look of furniture is getting maximum
eyeballs and has overshadowed beauty of other items at the fair. Other items
like shaggy cushions, handbags, handmade trays, rugs and other items are also
being liked by the overseas audience at the fair.
In day 3rd and 4th visitor evincing
keen interested in the product displayed, they interact with the exhibitors and
enquired about the new innovations they have made in the traditional designs. Whether
participating as an exhibitor, international trade fairs can be a useful source
of market intelligence and can provide exposure of your company and products to
buyers, agents and distributors. Day by day number of visitor and buyer
increase rapidly. Buyer amazed with the kind of colors and richness of our
products. They were praised to see the quality of the handcrafted products.
In the last day on 18 oct many Western buyers visited natural
stall to develop proprietary designs, there was general acknowledgment that
Indian companies had come into their own in terms of sensitivity to buyers'
needs, value-adding touches, and world trends, and are now developing their own
designs for the global market. This Fair is beneficial for vendors as well as
government because it give an opportunity to compete with the international
market. I helps us a lot to provide a platform to market to our product in
international market. In this fair the buyers response has been excellent.
This is one of Asia’s largest Indian Handicrafts & Gifts
Fair, the five-day-long flagship event of EPCH, kicked off from 18 October at
the world class venue of India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida
